Opportunities for Summer Family Experiences:
 
JONI AND FRIENDS FAMILY RETREATS:
Joni and Friends will hold two family retreats at Mission Springs this summer.  These retreats offer wonderful fun for the whole family, and are a great respite opportunity.  Every individual affected by disability is assigned a helper for the week.  You will find more information and registration proceedures on the Bay Area Joni and Friends webpage http://bayarea.joniandfriends.org  .  This years dates are:    June 9-13 and July 12-16
  • Family Cruises:  To find out more about a cruise line that specializes in activities for families affected by disability, go to:  www.specialneedscruise.com
  • Shared Adventures: This Santa Cruz-based company provides wonderful, free, activities for children and adults affected by disabilities.  Several of the Green Pastures kids recently flew in their Annual Day in the Sky.  Art classes are offered weekly.  Their Day on the Beach is coming up on July 21st, which will provide many sand and water activities for participants.  For more information, check out their webpage at www.sharedadventures.org.
