We are in need of buddies for the fall 2007 season. As a buddy, you will work with children who have some sort of disability.
The soccer practices and games are held on Sundays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Congress Springs Park in Saratoga.
The address is 12970 Glen Brae Drive, Saratoga. Take 85 to the Saratoga Avenue exit. Turn right if coming from San Jose or
turn left if coming north of Saratoga. About 1/2 mile turn LEFT on to Cox Avenue. Once you drive over 85, take the first left
which is Glen Brae Drive. The park is on the left.
If you are interested in volunteering this fall, please send
an email to Bob by August 10. You will then receive a confirmation with information about orientation and training.
The information sheet includes a description of the duties of a buddy. Essentially, you are there to practice with the player,
help him or her learn a few soccer skills, and assist them during the games.
Please consider being a buddy volunteer again. The players really need the care and support
you have provided to them in the past.
Upcoming
events that need volunteers:
- Respite events: Congregations offering respite would
love help from compassionate volunteers. Check out the Resources and Events for Families page for a list of upcoming
events
